Khareedar (Buyer)·خریدار

Roman Urdu: Khareedar / Kharidar

The khareedar is the buyer in a mandi transaction — usually a beopari, mill, exporter, or retailer purchasing a lot from the adhati. In the kacha-arhti model the khareedar pays the gross amount to the adhati, who then settles the farmer after deductions. A buyer's reliability (do they pay on time?) is tracked in the adhati's khata.

Example usage

Example: Khareedar (Buyer) is recorded in the daily mandi khata so party balances and settlement details remain clear.

Frequently asked: Khareedar (Buyer)

Khareedar vs beopari — same thing?+
Overlapping but not identical. Khareedar is any buyer (including mills, exporters, retailers); beopari specifically means a trader who buys to resell at a margin. Every beopari is a khareedar when buying.
Why track each khareedar separately?+
To know who owes you, how much, and for how long. Buyers often take udhaar; a per-khareedar ledger with aging shows your real exposure and who to chase.
Can one party be both khareedar and bechak?+
Yes — a beopari buys (khareedar) at one mandi and sells (bechak) at another. In Pakka Khata the same party can carry both purchase and sale history in one ledger.
