Bardana deduction is the amount charged or adjusted for bags and packaging used to store or move crop lots in a mandi transaction. It may be calculated per bag, by quantity or through an agreed settlement rule.

Basic bardana formula

Count the bags used, apply the agreed per-bag rate, then show the deduction separately on the parchi. If 120 bags are charged at PKR 25 per bag, bardana deduction is PKR 3,000.

Why separate it from arhat?

Bardana is a material or packaging charge. Arhat is commission. Keeping them separate reduces disputes and makes the party ledger easier to audit.
